Management biographies

SPB is an independent company with a Board of Directors and a Supervisory Board, owned 99% by the Guian family through a financial holding company. Dominique Guian, the founder of SPB in 1965, chairs the Supervisory Board.

Jean-Marie Guian, is a graduate of HEC and obtained a Master's degree from the Community of European Management Schools in 1990. After two years of national service in Asia, he began his career in 1992 as a trader in emerging markets at Société Générale (1992-1994). He joined SPB in 1994 to oversee the quality policy, then held the positions of director of Finance (1996-1998) and Managing director of the Insurance business (1998-2000) before being appointed chairman of the Board of SPB SA on 15 December 2000.

François Commune is executive director, Finance and Alliances for the SPB group and has been a member of the Management Board and Executive Committee since 2006. A graduate of ESCP and holding an MBA from the University of Cranfield in the UK, he started his career at the French subsidiary of the Hoechst group, first as treasurer and then, from 1980 to 1987, as head-office management controller. He went on to co-found the Pillet&Associés consultancy firm, where he worked as senior consultant from 1987 to 1991. He was deputy chief financial officer of Fiat France from 1991 to 1997 and held the same position at the Europe Assistance group from 1998 to 2000, before being named Deputy CEO, a responsibility he held from 2001 to 2006.
<span>Laurent Courtin</span> is executive director, Sales and Marketing for the SPB group and has been a member of the Management Board and Executive Committee since 2009.

Laurent Courtin is executive director, Sales and Marketing for the SPB group and has been a member of the Management Board and Executive Committee since 2009. Laurent Courtin, is a graduate of the universities of Paris Dauphine in Paris and Québec in Montréal. He headed the France and Belgium business of El Corte Ingles Investronica from 1990 to 1992. He then worked as direct marketing operations director at Sysmark SA until 1996, before holding the position of head of banking loyalty programmes at Quintess RSA from 1996 to 2000. He joined SPB in 2000 as director of Internet Activities, moving on to become director of the Telecom and Multi-platform business in 2002 and director of New Markets in 2006.

Jean-Christophe BOISSEAU Human Resources Director and member of the Executive Committee since 2014 Jean-Christophe Boisseau completed preparatory studies for the Ecole Nationale d’Administration while attending the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris and is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Aix-en-Provence. He began his professional career at Xerox in 1989 as Key Accounts Manager before becoming Project Manager of the Services subsidiary in 1993. He was promoted to Director of Human Resources and Legal Services in 1997. In 2000, he joined the insurance company Alico (part of the AIG group) as Director of Human Resources for France and Western Europe. After Alico’s acquisition by Metlife, Jean-Christophe Boisseau was named Secretary General in charge of Human Resources for France and Morocco.
<span>Denis Grandinot</span> has been IT director and a member of the Executive Commitee of the SPB group since 2009.

Denis Grandinot has been IT director and a member of the Executive Commitee of the SPB group since 2009. Denis Grandinot, holds a DPCT diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a DEST diploma in IT Engineering (Arts et Métiers). He began his career as a mechanics and hydraulics project manager in 1981. Through 1991 he worked successively as head of an electronics R&D department and head of an onboard software project for the three largest sailing yachts in the world for Wind Star, before working on the Club Med 1 and 2 yachts and on developments for the Engineering division of the ACH group. From 1993 to 1997 he was head engineer of the CAD/CAM department and then IT director of the Caillard group of Rolls-Royce France, before being named IT director. He held the position of Customer Delivery executive at ESD from 1997 to 2007 and head of Global Operations (IT department number two) for the Italcementi group in Italy from 2007 to 2009.
<span>Christelle Legrix</span> has been director of Insurance Services and a member of the Management Board of the SPB group since 2010.

Christelle Legrix has been director of Insurance Services and a member of the Management Board of the SPB group since 2010. Christelle Legrix is a graduate of Institut Commercial de Nancy and holds an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (USA). She worked as department manager at Auchan from 1996 to 1999. She joined SPB in 1999 as head of the Brokering Accounting department and in 2002 was appointed head of the Management department in 2002. She was promoted to director of Internal Audit, Internal Control and Quality in 2007.

Dominique Guian is the founder and chairman of the Supervisory Board of the SPB group. Dominique Guian founded Société de Prévoyance Bancaire (SPB) in 1965 in Le Havre. The company was founded on the basis of an innovative idea to sell insurance through banking networks. SPB developed insurance projects for the banking sector for 35 years before diversifying in 2000 to move into insurance solutions for new technologies and leisure activities.
